Pes Cavus Plantar Fasciitis. A high arch is the opposite of a flat foot and is somewhat less common. The disorder classically presents with pain that is particularly severe with the first few steps taken in the individuals with pes planus (low arches or flat feet) or pes cavus (high arches) are at increased risk for developing plantar fasciitis.

These conditions can also be caused by the excess of inflammation and strain on the foot structures. Plantar fasciitis typically causes a stabbing pain in the bottom of your foot near the heel. Pes cavus is commonly known as claw foot.
